SHORT BIO

Born in San Juan, Trinidad, with chutney, soca, and calypso in her blood, Kassandra Dasent is a
singer-songwriter who grew up in Montreal, Quebec (Canada).

Kassandra has performed as a solo artist and vocalist in festivals, from Africa (Mali, Burkina Faso) to Montreux (Switzerland), as well as in galas, television shows, and concerts. She performed with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil, Groupe Spaïcy and Groupe Iba, and with a choir that performed for her Majesty, the Queen of England.

Kassandra appeared as a singer in several feature films, the most recent being I’m Not There, a musical biopic of Bob Dylan. She has also co-written and collaborated on numerous tracks for other artists worldwide.

On April 26, 2011, Kassandra’s debut album, Road To Rebellion was released. The ambitious
project combines Kassandra’s penchant for vocal substance and her drive to find
unconventional sounds that shape and shift people’s expectations of music.

After a taking an extended sabbatical from live performances to focus on her family, in 2020, Kassandra began collaborating with her long-time musical maestro and Canadian platinum selling album producer, David Mobio. Her new single, Be Still, was released on June 15, 2021. The single is catchy, with a melodious beat influenced by Dasent’s cultural upbringing.

Kassandra spent years working as a project manager and, recently, financial expert. She is currently working as a model and working on music performances. Kassandra has been featured in several publications including Grammy.com, Glamour, Forbes, Business Insider, The Zoe Report, Fast Company, and many others.
